The accomodation

Is the residence enclosed ? Yes, it’s surrounded by vegetation and fences. That allows children to go by safely in the property.

Is there room enough for five people in the studios ?
Yes, we offer an extra free bed if requested. It’s a folding bed you can place in the living-room or in the lock hall for the night.

Where can you set the baby bed in the studio ?
Three possibilities :
in the hall near the bunk beds
by taking away the mattress and the base of the lower bed
in the living-room

Have the flats got air conditioning ?
No, they haven’t but we provide electric fans in case of heat wave (10€ a week) and if you close the shutters you’ll get a certain inside freshness.

The swimming-pool

What size is the swimming-pool ? It’s 6.5 metres wide – 14 metres long + roman stairs. It’s without any variation in level and is 1.53 metre deep.

Is it heated ?
It faces due South all day and is protected by a bubble cover so it reaches a comfortable temperature early or late season.

How is it safe ?
There is a surrounding wall and a security gate young children can’t open alone. This gate closes after each crossing.

The village

Is there a tourist office in Claira ? No, there isn’t but you will find all the information about the touristic activities in the region in the residence. We will have pleasure to answer all your questions about them.

Can we have a meal in the village ?
Yes, you can but only take-away food (pizzas, snacks). You will find some restaurants of all sorts in St Laurent de la Salanque (3 km) at the commercial centre Carrefour (6km), in Barcarès beach (10 minutes).

Is there a cash point in Claira ?
Yes, there is and it accepts most of international cards.

Can we do shopping in the evening ?
Yes, you can. Carrefour commercial centre is open every day till 10 p.m. except on Sunday.

Are the shops open on Sunday ?
You find a large market every Sunday morning in the next village (3km) and supermarkets (Spar- Champion- Lidl) open every Sunday morning.

Can we visit a vineyard in the village ?
Yes, you can. two winegrowers will be pleased to let you taste their latest vintage wines. They will guide you across the vineyards.

The region

Can we walk or ride a bike to the sea ? Yes, you can by a green track to reach the beach of Barcarès after 7 km. Your can make it on rollers.

Can we hire bikes on the spot ?
Yes, you can book them via us and they will be delivered at the residence. Ask us for the tariff.

What are the possibilities for the mountain bike lovers in the region ?
In rivers, lakes and sea certainly. You can fish without a licence in the mouth of rivers and on the beaches. Thanks to ask u to book a licence at least a fortnight before your arrival.

How far is there a place to do paragliding and rafting in the region ?
For these two activities you need one hour drive. For the tariffs, ask us.

Where is there a discotheque nearby ?
You drive a quarter of an hour : in Barcarès, Canet en Roussillon and Perpignan town centre.

Are there any naturist beaches in the region ?
Yes, there are twenty minutes away, near Leucate.
